Once upon a time, there was a children’s festival in Brower Park, Crown Heights called JUNE BALLOON! There were games, music, performances, and of course balloons. In 2001, June Balloon ended - and the neighborhood lost a beloved institution.

Now, the Crown Heights CARE Collective, Another World, and Crown Heights neighbors are bringing the festival back!

Join us on SATURDAY JUNE 20, 2026 for a FREE festival for the people, and keep scrolling for how you can help!

We are recruiting for event volunteers. June Balloon takes place on June 20, from 11am - 6pm. Volunteers are needed for set-up, activity stations during the event, and clean up. Sign up to be a volunteer! All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer orientation.

THE PLAN

The planning committee meets every Saturday at 11am - 12:30pm at Another World (629 Nostrand Ave). If you're interested in getting involved, please join us!

Currently, we're creating a full day of activities geared towards kids with a liberation framework. This event is community-supported and grassroots, and we're seeking to partner with local community groups and block associations.
If you are part of a local community group who would like to table at June Balloon, please email us.
